Designing With 49 And Market

Hi scrappers! It feels like it has been while since I posted even though it’s only been a week. My free time and motivation finally synched up and this week I bring you a page featuring a newly printed photo. I just got a pack of new photos in the mail with some images from some recent weekend trips my husband and I took and this is the first photo of the bunch I am scrapping. This picture was taken in Borrego Springs, California at an area that overlooks a large, impressive canyon below. It was sunset and my husband set up his tripod and snapped a few shots of us. I love how they turned out!

I started with some polka dot paper from the Plum Grove paper stack by 49 and Market. In fact, all products on this page are 49 and Market unless otherwise stated. I paired it with some lavender woodgrain paper from the My Mind’s Eye Bramble Rose Stack and peach paper from American Crafts One Canoe Two Saturday Afternoon stack. I had the deep blue floral paper in my stash of leftover scraps and it worked well here. All these papers pick up the sunset colors in my photo!

I used some rub-ons from the 49 and Market Plum Grove collection and cut out the two decals in purples and blues. Laser die cuts from the Plum Grove and Viken collection as well as some fabric tape really bring the page together. I used some washi stickers from the Vintage Artistry Hike More collection for the title.

The sketch for this page comes from the January challenge at Sketch N Scrap. I like how simple the sketch is, allowing me to add my own elements to it. The paper layering allowed me to incorporate lots of colors and patterns.

This page was also created for the Book Lovers contest over at A Cherry Top Crafts. The book above was the inspiration with the optional prompts being either to use Mother Nature as a theme or the use of alliteration in the title. I obviously chose Mother Nature, choosing a photo taken in a national park with some botanical elements and the Outdoors title.

Lastly, this page was made for the January Color My Heart challenge. I combined peach with blue and purple tones. I really like how all the colors work together. While this page was fairly simple to put together without using a ton of products, it makes a big impact!

That’s all for this week. Soon we will be in February. Can you believe it?? Lets be friends on Instagram and YouTube! I go by thescrapattack in both places!
