Scrapbook Challenge
All This Happiness
Teal, Navy And Orange
Hi scrappers! This week I used a simple color palette that happened to match some photos I had. These were taken in front of a mural in Dana Point, CA pre pandemic back when I still wore makeup regularly. These photos made me want to put on bright eyeshadow again!
I started with some mandala print paper from the Girl’s Life stack by recollections. This is where I pulled my color palette from since I liked the orange, teal and navy together. I found these old photos which matched perfectly. I used a piece of teal cardstock from The Paper Studio’s Splash stack as my background. I found some ephemera by Tim Holtz that matched the gray in my mandala paper and created some clusters along with some stickers from the Dear Lizzy sticker book by American Crafts. I finished up with some enamel dots by Simple Stories and used s sticker from the Vicki Boutin Color Study sticker book as my title. There were a few elements I never thought would make it onto a page, like the blue-haired Be You girl or the blue and orange yolo rhino. They are so random but because the colors were right for this page, I ended up using them after all!
This page was made for challenge #568 over at Color my Heart Color Dare. I added orange and navy as my two colors to go with teal or “journey.”
I used sketch 282 from Sketch N Scrap for this page. I turned the large flowers in the sketch into clusters on my page and left the title in the same spot. I didn’t add too many extra things to this sketch for a change and kept it pretty simple. Because of this, I feel like I was able to make this page in record time!
That’s all for this time. I’m always excited at the beginning of the month when there is a fresh set of scrapbook challenges all over the internet that I can try! I will be back soon with a new page.
