Jupiter
Paper Tearing And Paint
Hi everyone! This week I put together a page featuring my kitty Jupiter. I got her as an eight week old kitten when my boyfriend at the time brought her home for me unexpectantly. Apparently his co worker discovered a coyote trying to get at her where she was hiding under her porch. She was feral and feisty at first. In fact, she’s still pretty feisty even 12 years later. She is my sweet, chatty baby and I love her.
I started with some brown and white pixelated chevron paper from the Bramble Rose stack by My Mind’s Eye. I matted it on some basic kraft cardstock and then used some white acrylic paint and a sponge to add some texture at the top and bottom edges. I tore pieces of patterned green paper from The Paper Studio’s Kellerkurtz and Company stacked pasted them alternating left to right. I used a roll of Sizzix textured paper in Limoncello as photo mats. I think this product is actually made for use with die cuts but it’s just the right size for 4 X 6 photos. I used a two pack of washi tape by the paper studio to add accents on a cardboard heart and some chipboard pieces from 49 and Market’s Plum Grove collection. The leaf details are from Heidi Swapp’s Honey and Spice ephemera pack and the three brads I used are from Bo Bunny’s Mocha Double Dot Brads pack.
This page was created for Color Dare Challenge 561 over at Color my Heart Challenges. I used Honeybutter, Sage and Mocha as my three colors with a healthy dose of white and kraft brown.
Lastly, this page was made for the August Pick-A-Day challenge at A Cherry Top Crafts. I used day 17: Adopt Homeless Animals day since little Jupiter didn’t have a home before she was brought to me.
That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and I will see you all soon. Swing by my Instagram and YouTube accounts if you get the chance, both under thescrapattack.
