Scrapbook Challenge
Let Nature Surprise You
Fall Forest Feelings
Hi scrappers! It’s fall again and to celebrate, I’m scrapping a photo that was taken a few years back when the leaves were changing. I think colorful leaves are my favorite thing about fall, even though I have to drive a few hours to see any since it’s too warm where I live for leaves to change much.
I used some taupe-gray tree paper from DCWV’s Country Manor stack as my background and added some blue paper and narrow strips of rusty coral damask paper to frame it. I cracked open some Live and let Grow ephemera which I have had for a while but never used. I especially like the hiking boots full of flowers and the fact it all matched my color palette! I also used some new Aall and Create die cuts that look like the torn edges from a spiral-bound notebook! These are such cool borders! Various brown buttons, sparkly brads and a few chipboard pieces by Simple Stories were also added.
I used sketch 397 from the weekly sketch challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I used one big photo instead of three smaller ones.
I used this color palette which was provided this month for the monthly Video Game challenge. This color palette is so perfect for fall and I made blue and coral the main focus with shades of brown to accent.
Lastly, this page was created for the Counterfeit Kit October Challenge. Their inspirational kit has lots of blues, browns and fall feelings! Their first challenge of the month involved scrapping our favorite fall activity, and looking at leaves is mine!
That’s all for this week. Thank you for stopping by and I will be back soon with an all new page that continues the theme of enjoying fall!
