Good Times Together

Hot Air Balloon Motif

Hi scrappers! This will probably be my last layout for March. How did the month go by so fast?? The photo I used for this page is of my sister and I making funny faces. We went to a pumpkin patch this day and were actually in a corn maze. I think moments after this photo was taken we saw a hot air balloon in the sky so even though it’s not in this picture, I included hot air balloons in several forms on this page.

For my background, I used some blue-gray paper with a filagree design by Maggie Holmes. Using three colors of acrylic paint, I added so paint splatters in the upper right and lower left corners.

I used a mix of washi tapes including one by Lawn Fawn and one by Vicki Boutin along with some paper scraps to create some horizontal stripes. I used a scrap of paper for my photo mat and then layered several pieces from the Kaleidoscope Stacked Frames assortment by 49 and Market behind it. After that, I added lots of circular ephemera, mostly by Simple Stories including their Carpe Diem, Retro Summer and Flea Market collections.

Lastly, I added in lots of stickers from the Dear Lizzy sticker book, some chipboard stickers by Carta Bella and a healthy scattering of Pinkfresh enamel dots.

This page was made for challenge 743 at Lasting Memories which was to use circular ephemera. I really liked this layout by their guest designer Rainny so I used the sketch as a starting point for my own page.

This page was also made for the 3 in a Row challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I used the diagonal including any shade of gray, free space and weather element.

That’s all for this week. Thank you for joining me on my page and I will see you in April with an all new layout.
