Scrapbook Challenge
Magical Moments Together
Desert Rose, Peach, And Sage
Hi scrappers! This week I bring you a layout featuring a photo that was taken in front of some street art in downtown Los Angeles. The peach tones in the background ended up working really well with the tri-color palette I used.
I started with some papers from the Recollections Desert Blooms stack. I had bought this paper stack a while ago but hadn’t tried any of the papers yet. I used the solid background as my background and cut a smaller square of the sun and moon print paper for the center. The rest of the papers used were all scraps from my stash. The floral paper ended up having the exact colors that really worked with the rest of the layout. I used Golden Desert Ephemera by Prima Marketing and some stickers from the Home is with You sticker book by The Happy Planner. The title was made with some puffy stickers by American Crafts.
This color palette came from Color My Heart’ s Color Dare #530. The colors definitely evoke pictures of desert landscapes. The cactus and succulent ephemera in my stash matched the colors perfectly.
The layout for this page comes from the Cherry of Top Crafts January scrap lift. I chose this layout by Sandy Jay. I liked all the the paper layering as well as the potential for embellishment clusters. The large title was spread across the page which isn’t something I normally do so I gave it a try.
That’s all for this week! I will be back soon with another scrapbook page.
