Monochromatic Orange And Paper Layering
Hi scrappers! This week I have a page with my sweet kitty Europa napping with my husband. She always loves these snuggles, especially when it’s on the colder side.
I used two different papers from the Eclectic Remix stack by The Paper Studio for my background and used some bright orange cardstock as a photo mat. I used both Ephemera Bits and the Chipboard Set from 49 and Market’s Plum Grove collection and pulled out some of the orange pieces. I used Echo Park’s Sadie alphabet die cut to pair with some ephemera to make my title. To continue the cat theme, I used some old stickers I had (brand unknown) and added in some orange kitties. For a more inclusive list of all the orange odds and ends this page, you can check out the video below where I list all products used.
This page was created for the challenge at Scrap the Boys this month which was a boy with his pet. My page features a man instead but the photos still seemed fitting for the challenge.
This page’s color scheme comes from If You Give a Crafter a Cookie’s February challenge which was to make something, anything, with orange. This isn’t a color I use too often, especially as the main color on a page, so it was a fun challenge and encouraged me to dig all my orange items out of my stash.
Lastly, I used Becky Fleck sketch 313 at A Cherry on Top Crafts to create this page. I loved all the paper layering and little elements that I could interpret in my own way. I used up some of my paper scraps to add contrast, patterns and texture.
That’s all for this week. Thank you for visiting and I’ll be back soon with a new page!
