Scrapbook Challenge
Lovely Beach
Purple And Peach
Hi scrappers! Now that summer is in full swing, I bring you a photo taken on a beach in San Diego somewhere. There was a really vibrant sunset that night and I didn’t realize my husband was taking a photo of me taking a photo!
I used a piece of photorealistic paper showcasing the ocean at sunset from Craft Smith’s Summer Dream stack. This paper actually had the word “summer” across it in large font but the word placement didn’t work with the sketch I was using. I was able to strategically cover it up and added my own title to the left. I played up the purple by adding some paper scraps from my stash including a large piece of 49 and Market’s Color Swatch Lavender paper and some Viken Chipboard pieces. I also added some peachy elements from Mintay’s Sunset Beach die cut pack. These were so perfect for this page! I used foam core tape on some of them to add depth through a 3D effect. I used some stickers from a couple washi sticker tears pads in purple and orange. These tear pads are made mostly for bullet journals but I like using them on my scrapbook pages instead.
This page was created using Becky Fleck sketch 332. Rather than use two smaller photos, I used two washi stickers.
This page was also made for the June mood board at A Cherry on Top. Purple is my favorite color and I have plenty of beach photos I’ve been meaning to scrap so this was the perfect challenge. I played up some of the peach tones since they were already visible in my background paper and was also inspired by the following:
wood grain
sea shells
ocean
That’s all for the month of June! I will see you all next time in July. Thank you for visiting and keep on scrapin!
