Mint, Teal, And Green
Hi everyone! This week I made a layout that was actually pretty simple to put together but packs a lot of visual impact. The photo I used was taken in Hawaii a few years back and I was inspired by the shades of green in the picture to build a layout in similar colors.
I used some basic white cardstock by American Crafts as my base paper and then pulled a bunch of paper scraps from my stash. I used papers in shades of teal, mint and green with one larger pink piece to use as a photo mat to make my photo pop. I cut some uniform rectangles and created a grid pattern on top of my white paper. After that, I embellished with items that were similar colors including some sparkly birds by K & Company, some butterflies by Tim Holtz, trees by Memory-Place, chipboard words by 49 and Market, and some tags by P13. I also used some watercolor stickers from albumlovehandmade and finished with some enamel hearts by 49 and Market.
This page was made for the first February challenge over at Lasting Memories which was to make a layout in a grid pattern. I really loved this layout by Sandy and decided to use it as a template for my own page. I usually don’t do too many organized grids layouts. A lot of my pages are more like controlled chaos! This layout also provided an opportunity to use up several paper scraps in my stash, a constant goal of mine. The only paper I used that wasn’t from my scrap stash was the white background cardstock!
That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and I I will be back soon as always with an all new page. Bye for now!
