Scrapbook Challenge

Amazing Details

Yellow Fellow!

Hi scrappers! This week I scrapped a picture of of my husband standing in a field of wildflowers! This was taken out in the desert were most of the time everything is dry and brown, but every few years, there’s an explosion of flowers in the Spring! I decided to create a page all in yellow and white to match the flowers in my photo.

I started with some Tranquil Blossom paper from the Krafty Garden collection by 49 and Market. This paper offered a little bit of a challenge because there was already a perfect spot in the middle for a photo with lots of embellishments and details already printed on the paper. For beginning scrapper, this paper would be perfect to just add a photo and display as is, but I wanted to add more to it. Using foam tape, I popped up my photo and some of the tabs and tags around it to add dimension. I also popped up the big yellow moth, also by 49 and Market but from the Nature Study ephemera bits pack. I also added in some yellow elements from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Life in Bloom ephemera and bits & pieces packs. The title is made from chipboard words and I also added a grid patterned rub-on that I cut up, both by 49 and Market. I scattered a few stickers from the Moonlight Magic sticker book by Crate Paper and added some enamel dots by Simple Stories. A few splatters of yellow paint all over finished the page.

This page was made for the White…with 1 February challenge where the challenge was to pick one color from the above mood board to pair with white. I chose yellow (obviously) from the middle square of the top row.

This page was also made for the February 3 in a Row challenge. I used the left column with journaling strips, any shade of yellow, and fiber (used in the tag near the top of the page).

Lastly, this page was made for this months Manufacturer with a Twist challenge where I had to use either a 49 and Market or a Pinkfresh Studio product along with at least one of the options from the grid. I chose Card or Ticket and actually used several pieces of ticket ephemera on this page.

Thank you for visiting my page! As always, you can find me on Instagram and YouTube if you are looking for more video content showing how I make my pages.
