Color Dare Design Team Challenge #648
As Long As We’re Together
Yellow And Peach
Hi everyone! I’m back again with Color Dare challenges, proudly representing their design team! The photos I used for this page are of me and my parents along with a couple of cats and as you can see, we didn’t quite fit in the frame when taking a selfie! These photos came out silly and goofy and I love them!
I used 2 pieces of cardstock from American Crafts, one from their Spring stack and one from a pack of basic white. I then raided my stash for scraps in tones of peach and yellow and was surprised by how many options I ended up with. I cut lots of 2 inch squares and arranged them in a grid, decorating some with various stickers cutouts and ephemera. I especially like the ice cream cones by Minty Papers, the peachy donut sticker, and the puffy sticker I used for my title by Thickers. I added in some enamel dots by Altenew and Simple Stories and some 3D plastic flowers from an Art C junk journal pack.
This page was made for Color Dare challenge 648 and I ended up pairing peach with yellow since my photos were taken at golden hour and looked peachy and warm. I was especially surprised to find a paper scrap that had a gingham design in peach and yellow! It ended up matching perfectly. Come show us your crafty creations. I can’t wait to see the colors you all chose to pair with yellow!
This page was made for the April Cherry Lift Challenge over at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I used the sketch above by joannie because I loved the grid design. Grid designs are so easy (assuming you cut your squares equally!) and are a great way to use up paper scraps and I always have tons of paper scraps, big and small, that need using! Plus this layout was easy to make my own by embellishing all the squares differently. Instead of a Disney birthday theme, I used soft botanicals, heartland food themed embellishments because they happened to match my color palette.
That’s all for now! Thank you for stopping by my corner of the internet. I also have accounts on Instagram and YouTube if you are looking for more paper crafting content!
