Kitty Life

Chartreuse And Gray

Hi scrappers! This week’s layout features a bold color palette of bright yellow-green and charcoal gray. I used a picture of my cat Europa because one of her eyes is the same yellow green color.

I used some dark gray paper from the Midnight Garden stack by Prima Marketing as my background. It was a fairly neutral backdrop and dark enough to make the bright green really pop. Using a makeup sponge and some acrylic paint, I added some starburst designs and added some paw prints over the top with a Stamperia stencil and some Fern stencil butter by The Crafter’s Workshop.

I made a double mat for my photo using some paper by Reminisce along with some dark gray cardstock. I also used a mat from the 49 and Market Kaleidoscope Stacked Frames pack. I used a circle punch and paper scraps to make some large circles and added some washi stickers and sequins for some smaller circular embellishments.

The title is made with some Doodlebug alpha stickers and an acrylic sticker from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Essentials collection. Lastly, I added some big, bold fake flowers and painted some chipboard pieces by The Dusty Attic to match the color palette.

This page was made for the April Mood Board challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. The inspiration graphic is so pretty with an unexpected color palette. I especially like the photos that a mostly gray with a bright green pop so I tried to do that on my page as well. I was inspired by the following elements:

  • Hearts

  • Leaves

  • Circles

The sketch I used for this page comes from Stick It Down. I really liked the mandalas in the original sketch but didn’t have a stencil small enough so I used a paw print instead over the sunburst designs I painted. I also tilted my photo and added some circles, but embellished even more with flowers and sequins.

That’s all for now. Thank you for visiting my page and I will be back soon with an all new layout!
