Scrapbook Challenge
Here Comes The Sunset
Shabby Chic Kitties And Butterflies
Hi scrappers! This may be my first post of 2023 but it’s about my last layout of 2022. I created this page last week but haven’t had the chance to blog due to holiday activities. This photo is of my kitty who was watching the sunset through the blinds. The lighting was so good that I snapped this photo on my phone.
I started with some basic brown paper from The Paper Studio’s Tattered and Worn stack as my background and mounted it on some pale blue cardstock by American Crafts for more stability since I knew I would be using heavy chipboard pieces. I had a large paper scrap in my stash with musical notes on it that I cut on a diagonal and bordered it with some blue checkered tape by Making Memories. From there I used die cuts from Stamperia’s Orchids and Cats collection and Sunset Beach Die Cuts by Mintay. I arranged them around my photo and added the chipboard clock as a major design element and fastened it with a Bo Bunny brad. Lastly, I used some Again and Again alpha stickers by American Crafts as part of my title.
This page was made for the December challenge at Sketches in Thyme. I ended up mirroring the sketch because when I cut my diagonal paper, I cut the diagonal the wrong way. Oops! My title ended up being smaller and I moved it lower since my music note paper was so busy, I didn’t think the brown letters would show up.
Thanks for visiting! I hope 2023 fins you all happy and healthy and I will be back soon with the first official page for the new year!
