Scrapbook Challenge

Unforgettable

Pink And Teal

Hi scrappers and welcome to March. This week I’ve created a layout in teal and pink, using a photo that was taken at the beach. I didn’t realize it until I’d already chosen the photo I was going to use, but even my makeup is teal so it really works perfectly with this page!

I started with some pink polka dot paper from the Plum Grove collection by 49 and Market. I sprayed some basic blue paper by K & Company with Distress Oxide Spray in Saltwater Taffy. I probably should have added more spray since not a lot of it ended up showing but it was my first time using this product so I didn’t want to overdo it. I added in some frame stickers and ticket washi stickers, both from Taperology as well as some stickers from The Happy Planners Cosmic Watercolor sticker book. Teal embellishments from the Viken collection by 49 and Market were perfect for this page and also made for an easy title. I found the perfect Pocket Card by Tim Holtz that not only matched the theme, but was just the right size to fit in a frame I was using. Lastly, I created some pink foliage with Garden Greens die cuts by Time Holtz. My Big Shot machine sure has come in handy this year!

This page was created for the February mood board challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts which is where the color palette comes from. Isn’t it gorgeous? I took inspiration Fromm the moldboard by incorporating paper with bokeh lights, a lace embellishment, and butterflies.

The sketch for this month comes from 49 and Market’s sketch challenge on their Instagram. As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I had to give it a try. I love all the frames and opportunities for embellishments. I had lots of fun with this one!

That’ll for this week. I’ll be back soon with a new layout!
