Scrapbook Challenge
Magical Weekend
Ocean Ephemera
Hi everyone! This week I’ve been dreaming about another vacation. The last big trip I went on was in October and this is a photo from then when we went to Hawaii for a friend’s wedding. This was at their venue at the end of a dock. Talk about picturesque!
I started with some rope-striped paper from Memory-Place’s Welcome to Paradise paper pack. The pattern reminded me of something nautical and also matched the wood in my photo. I cut down some dark blue Heidi Swapp paper to place my photo on and added a scrap of paper from a previous project but from the same Memory-Place paper pack since it had some matching blue tones. From there, I pretty much rounded up all the ocean/tropical/nautical ephemera I could find in my stash.
Additional Products Used:
The Paper Studio Adhesive Gems
The Paper Studio Vintage Brads
Recollections Star Brads
My Mind’s Eye My Story Ephemera
This page was created using the March sketch from Scrap Our Stash. I liked the crooked photo and the fact it was so big since I have a stash of 5 X 7 photos to get through. Stars needed to be used somewhere in the layout so I scattered some gold and silver star brads in clusters around the page.
This page was also created for the Country Music challenge at A Cherry on Top. The theme this month was “Vacation” which I think this photo was absolutely perfect for!
That’s all for this week! Thank you for visiting and if you have a moment, join me over on YouTube and Instagram too at thescrapattack.
