Everything Is Fine In The Sunshine

Bright Colors And Flower Clusters

Hello scrappers! I know I’m back pretty soon but I’ve just been in the mood to create lately. I put this page together featuring some photos that were taken in Las Vegas at the pool at the Treasure Island hotel. This was the summer of 2021 and things were just starting to open up again and it was the first trip we had taken in a while. I’m already looking forward to sunny days by the pool!

I started with some turquoise cardstock from The Paper Studio Splash 12 X 12 cardstock stack. I liked how this color matched the pool water in my photos. I used two pieces of paper from the Vicki Boutin Field Notes paper pad. One was aqua water color paper which I cut down to about 8 X 8. The other was the yellow dot/rainbow moth paper. This paper was double-sided and I wanted to display both sides, but felt the moths would be pretty busy and overwhelm my photos if I made it the primary print. Instead, I featured one strip of it and matted it on a large scrap of yellow paper from the Evergreen and Holly stack that I had left over from a previous layout.

I used some green washi tape from the Ranger Dylusions collection along with a skinny orange paper scrape. From there, I raided my stash for other Vicki Boutin products and used one of her Bubble stencils from the Color Study collection and some Turquoise Stencil Butter from The Crafters Workshop. I also added in some All the Good Things ephemera as well as a Sweet Rush embellishment which I used as my title. Lastly, I added in some words and phrases stickers from the Color Study collection and added in some paper flowers by The Paper Studio and some heart-shaped enamel dots by The Scrappers Garden.

This page was created for Sketch N Scrap’s April challenge. I liked that the offset panel provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the moth paper I wanted to use. Rather than use big flowers, I added lots of little flowers throughout.

This page was also created for A Cherry on Top Craft’s April My Mood challenge. The ask was simply to use bright colors and throw in some flower clusters as a bonus.

That’s all for now. I’m already plotting out my next page and will be back soon to share!
