Scrapbook Challenge
Enchanted
Succulent Shades Of Green
Hi scrappers! Today’s layout features lots of botanicals and green tones. These photos were taken at an outdoor arts festival in Laguna Beach. They had this pretty little garden area set up so my husband took a few photos.
I started with some green color block paper from an absolutely ancient paper stack. When I first started scrapbooking in the early 2000s, I bought several paper packs from Paper Pizazz which is a company that no longer exists. At the time, it was the main brand that Joann’s (or was it still House of Fabrics back then) carried and online retailers for paper crafting and stationary didn’t exist yet. I still have several of these books left and maybe one day I will use them up! Anyway, this green paper from the Tone-on-Tone Color Block pack was a great background for my photos.
I had the perfect scrap of succulent paper and then I added some journaling cards and ephemera from the Enchanted collection by Memory-Place. I used a Marvy Uchida lever punch to turn one of the journaling cards into a tag. A butterfly and dragonfly from the Tim Holtz Field Notes ephemera pack works perfectly on this page. I think my favorite part is the little succulent washi tape stickers by The Washi Tape Shop. It’s so cool how they come a roll like washi tape but they peel and stick like normal stickers. A few shiny enamel dots and jeweled brads finish the page.
This page was made for last month’s mood board challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I loved all the green, especially the succulents, and knew it would work well with these photos. I was inspired by the following elements:
succelents
dragonflies
leaves/foliage
This page was also created for Becky Fleck challenge 326 at A Cherry on Top Crafts. I added one tag instead of two and used larger photos, but otherwise kept my layout pretty similar to the original.
That’s all for now. Thank you fr visiting. For more videos, including some recent unboxing of craft supplies, you can find me on YouTube at thescrapattack. See you soon!
