Scrapbook Challenge

Believe In Magic

Cosmic Colors And Fairy Wings

Hello everyone! I know I’m back soon but there’s all sorts of fun challenges going on around the internet due to National Scrapbooking Day! Many of them have due dates coming up quick so I’m going to try to participate in as many as possible!

This picture was taken by my husband when he wanted to trying out a new camera lens and lighting setup. He turned a blank wall in our bedroom into a makeshift studio. The bokeh lights in the background are actually fairy lights we taped to the wall. I wanted to do some really fun makeup so I glued some sparkly glitter stars around my eyes. While this looked pretty for the pictures, I’m not sure if I would wear it for any length of time. Some of the little stars had sharp corners which is not exactly something you want around your eyes, but for our little photoshoot, it turned out magical!

I started with some ombre violet paper from the Colorbok Ombre Energized paper stack. I found some nebula print paper by The Paper Studio that I absolutely love and I feel like it goes really well with my photo. I added some really pretty washi tape by Kamiiso and some scraps of teal damask print paper. Some purple and teal stickers from the Happy Planner Colorful Boxes sticker book matched my cosmic paper perfectly. The title and fairy embellishments are from the Kaiser Craft Fairy Dust ephemera pack and also happen to be in shades of teal and purple! Some moon stickers by Infeel Me and chipboard pieces from 49 and Market’s Plum Grove collection bring the page together.

Isn’t this mood board incredible? As soon as I saw it on the A Cherry on Top message board, I knew I had to make a page inspired by it! Using purple and teal was the main criteria but I was also inspired by the Milky Way sky, cursive letters and the moon.

This page was also made for Becky Fleck challenge 235. As usual, my page has nothing to do with the implied theme (in this case, Easter) but I loved the sketch and the segmented paper pieces behind the photo. I was immediately inspired to use washi tape for one of the strips and love the end result. It was yet again another case of finally cracking open some washi tape I bought a very long time ago but had yet to use!

That’s all for now! I’m already plotting my next layout and keeping the NSD celebration going! I will see you all soon!
