Scrapbook Challenge
P Is For Pumpkins
Autumn Plaid
Hi scrappers! I took a little bit of a break but I am back with an autumn-themed layout. When I went to go visit my sister, we went to a pumpkin patch since it was the middle of fall. Where she lives, they have a big farm equipped with hayrides, corn mazes, apple cannons, cider donuts, and all the typical fun fall activities. Behind up is the giant pumpkin patch where you can pick you pumpkin right off the vine.
Both my background plaid paper and the green paper come from Echo Park Paper’s I love Halloween collection and I felt they worked well with my photos even though tis is not a halloween page. It was very difficult finding pumpkin in my stash that was not a Jack-o-lantern but I found a pack of Halloween chipboard that had the pumpkin I used here plus the “pumpkins” word detail. I hand painted the pumpkin since it was just plain chipboard but the word was already black.
I used a combo of a punch and a die cut to make my two tags from paper scraps and then decorated with circle and phrase stickers by P13 and some Plum Grove ephemera by 49 and Market.I added in a few enamel hearts, dragonflies and large dots from the Kaleidoscope collection by 49 and Market, and some mini tags by K & Company.
This page was made for the March Mood Board challenge at A Cherry on Top Crafts. The colors were perfect for a fall page and I was also inspired by the following elements:
Plaid (used in my background paper)
Furry Animals (used in the squirrel and mouse circular stickers)
Woodgrain (used in my large tag and the strip behind my photo.
This page was also made using sketch 314 at Sketch N Scrap. The challenge also included a recipe component and I used the following:
Color Green (paper, title letter, phrase stickers and other embellishments)
Something found in the sky (dragonfly stickers)
Polka dot paper (small pieces on either side of my photos)
A Tag (used 2 tags in lower right corner)
Something that symbolizes Spring (butterfly sticker)
Lastly, this page was made for the March Title challenge where the goal was to make a page with a title in the style of Cookie Monster’s favorite quote “C is for Cookie.”
That’s all for this month! If you are looking for an additional paper crafting challenge, check out the one I host at A Cherry on Top Crafts that is Taylor Swift themed. This month’s challenge is to create a project in shades of lavender!
